Purpose: Support Texas Pride Fuels Corporate Operations Managers and local Supervisors in enforcing and monitoring adherence to corporate health and safety policies, procedures and legislation, ensuring all safety credentials are maintained, and acting as a resource for all safety related requirements, including auditing, inspections, and investigations as required.
Work Schedule:Must have open availability any time, any day of the week. Be able to work irregular work schedules.
Essential Duties: (may include but are not limited to)
Ensure safe working environment for employees and contractors.
Conduct job site inspections and vehicle inspections
Promote positive safety culture
Train employees on safety related topics.
Investigate accidents, complete and submit incident forms in a timely manner.
Weekly reporting to Texas Pride Fuels corporate safety office.
Distribute and/or post safety awareness information as required.
Immediately report all unsafe acts or conditions.
Assist in overseeing implementation of corrective action, weekly documented project inspections, and ensure corrective action is properly documented.
Proactively manage all near misses, recordable and lost time incidents.
Work in compliance with company policies as outlined in the Texas Pride Fuels Employee Handbook, Human Resources Policy, Safety Policy and OSHA Safety rules.
Perform duties as assigned by the Operations Managers as needed.
Adhere to the company’s policies all the time.
Operate company equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Complete and submit professional documentation such as: time sheets, daily and weekly reports, and incident reports on time, legibly.
Travel to job sites as necessary to perform above responsibilities.
Attend required company training's.
Bachelors Degree. (Strongly Preferred)
OSHA 10 and 30 hour. (Preferred)
Knowledge of Department of Transportation Compliance. (Preferred)
1 Year Inspection experience. (Preferred)
Knowledgeable in safety standards including hazard recognition, job hazard analysis, training and good familiarity with OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards.
Knowledge of worker’s compensation claims.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with people in course of work.
Previous customer service experience
Experience with Microsoft office.
Ability to speak, write and read the English language.
Ability to work alone on a broad variety of projects.
Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations.
Must satisfactorily pass a drug and background check.
Must be insurable with company.
Frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
Sit for long periods of time
Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch.
Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects.
Environment:Field work is performed outside, so exposure to all types of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold is common. Personal protective equipment, including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots & hearing protection must be worn in all areas as required.
