Automated Fuel Systems Operator
Student (High School)
Purpose: Operate and monitor Automatic Fueling System (AFS) units. Report to and perform under the supervision of the Corporate Managers, by enforcing company policies & having the capability to the following qualifications, duties & physical requirements.
Work Schedule: Must have open availability any time, any day of the week. Be able to work irregular work schedules. Typical shift will be 12 hours on, and 12 hours off.
Essential Duties: (may include but are not limited to)
Adhere to company SOPs related to AFS and subsequent job duties.
Participate in day-to-day details of crew life in camp and at work.
Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) daily.
Arrive at location on time.
Operate company equipment in a safe and professional manner and abide by all safety rules, including submitting proper reporting and documentation.
Communicate daily with Crew Leaders, Supervisors and Safety Personnel.
Attend company trainings.
Assist and complete rig-up and rig-down of auto-fuel system; including securing all caps, fittings, hoses, electrical connections, tank calibrations, etc.
Monitor readings of tank level, flow rate, lower limits and upper limits.
Troubleshoot and resolve system notification codes.
Operate AFS valves, plugs, lighting, and display operative determinations of when to conduct necessary emergency stops.
Navigate AFS unit into position and/or relocate as needed utilizing remote control with spotter.
Operate company bobtail valves, hoses, and PTOs (Power take off) to supply AFS with fuel.
Monitor fuel levels in customer tanks and TPF bobtails to ensure fuel security.
Participate in fuel transfers with Transport Drivers.
Operate AFS control panel by navigating various touch screen menus as needed, including PC laptop operations.
Monitor and align AFS inventory software with customer stages.
Complete Company paperwork such as daily tickets, daily reports, weekly reports and time sheets legibly.
Responsible for pumping fuel into sand kings, blenders, acid trucks, data van, wireline, and any other ancillary equipment that is not rigged to AFS as needed.
Operate and perform minor maintenance on vehicles and various other types of equipment.
Operate and understand the principals of multi-metering and volt metering.
Other duties as assigned.
CDL class A or B
Osha 10 certified & knowledge of compliance guidelines.
High School diploma or GED required.
Proven ability to detect problems using logical reasoning and perform trouble shooting procedures.
Profound knowledge of systems and tools needed to perform a procedure and basic mechanical repairs.
Conceptual understanding of numbers, their relationships, combinations, and operations.
Ability to work with word processing, data management, and spreadsheet and data analysis programs.
Leadership experience, preferably with diverse personnel.
Familiarity with basic conservation, including tool maintenance.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations.
Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in the course of work.
Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Must have the ability to speak, read and write the English language.
Must satisfactorily pass a drug and background check.
Must be a proven team player.
Must be insurable with company.
Must be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Excellent physical dexterity targeted at frequently lifting and carrying up to 100lbs from one place to another by employing safe work practices.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders without fear of heights.
